Lafayette Music is committed to providing music teachers and their students with an extensive and dependable stock of method and performance music as well as a complete line of instrument accessories. We also offer referrals to prospective students for those private teachers who are interested in finding new students and are always looking for instructors who are interested in teaching in the store. 

If you are a serious music teacher and would like to receive our special teacher discounts or be included in our teacher referrals, you first need to fill out our Teacher Discount/Referral Application. Download the form, fill it out and bring it into the store to receive an additional 10% discount on a single purchase of any size subject to certain exclusions (downloads, gift certificates, instrument rentals and some already discounted items). This is our way of thanking you for providing us with the sort of information we need in order to stock the items that you want us to have when you want them.

Beginning April 1st, all teachers must provide us with either a street mailing address or a valid e-mail address as well as a telephone number to qualify for discounts. If you want referrals and do not want to publish a street address, we will insert the words "address not provided" in its place. If you want referrals and do not want to publish an e-mail address, we will insert the words "e-mail address not provided" in its place. We will not post a name on a referral list with only a telephone number.

E-mail notification policy - Almost all our teacher specials are announced via e-mail. If you have supplied us with an e-mail address but have not received any e-mail messages from us for over a month, then we either have an invalid e-mail address on file or your spam filter is set to automatically reject our mailings.

BOGO - We invite any teacher of a band or orchestra instrument to sign up for our Buy-One-Get-One free lesson offer that we are now offering to anyone who rents or buys a band or orchestra instrument from us. If you sign up for this offer, you agree to give a student two lessons for the price of one. To prove that they rented or bought an instrument from us, you can either ask to see a copy of the rental contract or the sales slip. We also ask that you let us know who the student is so that we can know how well the promotion is working and to make sure that people are not taking advantage and going to more than one teacher for a free lesson. Those teachers who have signed up for the program are included on a special form that we print up and hand out to students at the time they rent instruments
